This is a 3D scene I made using OpenGL. The terrain is generated from a heightmap. The water is a partially transparent, procedurally generated disc with an animated texture. The tower, monster and barrels are all models that we're loaded in. The monster has a reflection behind it and an imposter shadow underneath. The barrels are animated using a sine wave to make them bob in the water and hierarchical modelling to make them rotate around each other. The light comes from a point light, attached to a procedurally generated sphere that rotates around the scene. To simulate a day/night cycle; when the sphere disappears from view, it moves back to it's starting position and changes its texture and light properties. A sphere was also generated for the sky.
